Okay, so bear with me, you may get a couple extra emails at the start here because I've been in a sudden wave of productivity and me starting emails again for the first time in... I don't even know how many years because the old ones seem to have disappeared into the aether... has coincided with a launch I've been working on (and also putting off working on) for months. I don't know how to start these things without feeling like I have lots of stuff to catch everyone up on, but I'll limit myself to just a couple of new things so as not to spam your faces and waste your precious time. It may already be apparent from this email that I'm a bit of a rambler and am basically using your inbox as my own personal blog/diary right now. How rude! Sorry about that. You can reply and yell at me for it if you like.

So anyway, I've done a thing that I've been wanting to do for a really long time, and although it may look like a fairly simple thing, it actually took me the longest time to figure out how the heck to actually produce it and a lot of me hating every version of the design that wasn't my original messy sketches. But I did it. I made some finished files and sent them off, and I now have in my cold little hands, my very own deck of cards! An Elder Futhark rune deck to be specific, which honestly was not what I expected my first deck to be (I hadn't actually expected myself to make card decks at all until I had this idea 18 months ago tbh), but here we are!

I made this humble little 25 card deck because I wanted one for myself and couldn't find what I was looking for, and I figured that if I wanted it then probably someone else might want it to, so here it is in existence! It's nice and small (the cards are 6.5cm each side) so you can carry it around in your pocket super easy, and halflings with the hands of a child like myself can shuffle it. I got this demo deck made on 100% recycled card because I'm kind of a hippy and I feel like this sort of thing should be as earth-friendly as possible so as not to anger the gods into giving you terrifying card pulls, but the cards feel a bit thin and flimsy so I'll have to make a few tweaks and pick a thicker cardstock for the actual production run.

I was originally just going to release this deck on its own but at the last minute I was like 'Why don't I do a whole mini collection of very vaguely related items to launch at the same time?!', so I'll also have new vinyl stickers, cute mini prints and bookmarks to put in with orders, and hopefully some shirts, because I love to make myself do extra work when I'm already panicking about how to do one thing. I'll send out more pics and info once I have everything finalised :)

If you ever have any feedback about these emails, or stuff you want to see, please let me know. I want you guys to enjoy getting these and I'm always down to share what I'm doing or hear about fun new project ideas. Thanks for reading, and have a magical weekend!

Hugs & unicorn wishes,
Jemilla
